Back to the grind, but the holidays were good..

Batman and Batman..

Our tree..

New Years Party..
Ian and Santa..

Just as promised, Santa came through!

Well, the holidays are officially over..  We had a good time with everyone..  We started our "holiday season" on Dec. 13th with a visit from O and uncle Randy.., then M's dad and Sue came up from Florida..  We had a great visit and some good eating.  :)

Christmas brought Santa to the house and he left a special present for Ian, BATMAN..  New Years was pretty quiet, a party with some friends and some good riding!!

Let's all hope 09 is better than 08..  Happy New Year everyone!!

It's almost here..

Well, tomorrow is Christmas eve and Ian doesn't seem to get it..  I mean, dude, you're bad and Santa isn't going to come..  Ian doesn't seem to get this idea..  I mean, what does it take to get the kid to shut up and go to sleep..  It's 10:20, he was in the bed at 9:00 and he finally quit talking and whining..  I thought I was going to lose my mind!!  "I want water..  I want my blanky folded..  I want my snow dome.."  On and on it went..

Well tomorrow, I'm basically off, moving some furniture over to Elaine's for her to keep for us so that we can make room for the babies stuff and get carpet laid out..  I'm renting a small UHaul van..  It's amazing what they try to sell you at UHaul..  I don't need heated storage, card board boxes, dollies or home owners ins..  I just need a freaking van!!

Hopefully tomorrow will be better..

Bill and Sue in town..

My father in law and Sue are in town for a few days..  Always a fun visit with them..  They got in late this afternoon after getting stuck on I520 forever in traffic..  A lot of construction going on in I20 here, so it really backs everything up..
Should be a fun weekend..  Ian was glad to see them..  Tomorrow night we'll go out, then relax on Sunday.. I'm riding Sunday morning with some friends, so I'm really looking forward to that..

Christmas is coming and Ian is pumped..

What I want for Christmas is a potty trained little boy..  Dude loves his underwear, but not the potty needed for him to wear them more than an hour or so..  One day.....

Welcome to the first entry in the Douglas Family Chronicles...  The mission is to keep family up to date on what's going on in our lives and household..  Should be interesting, but then again, I'm sure it can be boring as well..

For example.. Highlight of the week so far is (remember, this is only Tuesday)..  Ian's pipes have been clogged lately, so me being the genius that I am thought, "hey, a couple of prunes should get him going"..  So, I informed Ian that daddy got him some GIANT raisins..  I cut a few up and had a friend over, was cooking dinner, of course not noticing that Ian had disappeared with the box and left what I had set a side for him on the table..  Well, I go in the room ask him if he was going to eat his GIANT raisins and he turns around and says "I like giant raisins daddy"..  Half the box is gone and needless to say, the pipes are officially cleaned out!

Other than that, not much going on..  I've got my Christmas presents for everyone here at the office, I just need to wrap them..  I know one gift Michele has gotten me, she had it shipped to the house.. well, I know what it is, but not exactly..  She's not to happy about that..

It's warm here today, supposed to be 75, not really the Christmas weather one would hope for...  Some friends were in Kansas at cross nationals and said Sunday morning it was 61 and by 2:00 it was 28..  Now that's a change in weather there!!

Till next time...
